The annual S.Pellegrino Young Chef global culinary talent-search, is aimed at finding the best young chef among thousands of hopeful candidates from more than 90 countries around the globe. Five South Africans and three young chefs from Dubai were in the running for this coveted title during the regional finals held in Cape Town earlier this year.
The Michelangelo International Wine & Spirit Awards gives local and foreign wines the opportunity to be judged by a panel of acclaimed wine experts from around the globe. All the judges are hand-picked and serve on the panel by invitation only.

100 Point Wine Tasting:
The perfect score is an exceptionally rare occurrence and to acquire such an extraordinary wine is remarkable. Mosaic is fortunate enough to have a few of these classic beauties in our cellar. At an exclusive wine tasting event on Friday 12 August we showcased the wines from our cellar that scored 100 points from world renowned wine critics, Wine Spectator and Robert. . .
The greatest year of my life!
I was recently in the position where I was given the opportunity to visit France with the rest of the Mosaic team.  We arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in France in the early hours of the morning and met up with the rest of the Mosaic team in Paris before getting on the TVG  to our final destination - a unique 18th century Chateau in the Loire Valley in. . .

Tinta Barocca made its way out to Boplaas by pure chance when Boplaas patriarch, Danie Nel, on returning from a visit to the Swartland in the 70′s, proceeded to plant Shiraz as he thought this grape might have a great future in the Klein Karoo; however it was later discovered by his son Carel that his father’s vines were indeed Tinta Barocca and not the desired. . .

Absinthe dates back to the 18th Century. According to popular legend, Absinthe began as an all-purpose patent remedy created by Dr Pierre Ordinaire, a French doctor living in Switzerland around 1792.
